The 43rd Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) executive committee held its annual 'Gabi ng Parangal' awards night on Wednesday, December 27, at the Kia Theatre, Araneta Center in Cubao, Quezon City.

'Ang Larawan,' the musical film
based on Nick Joaquin's three-act English play 'A Portrait of the Artist as Filipino,' won big as it took home six top honors including 'Best Picture,' 'Best Production Design,' 'Best Musical Score' and 'Best Actress' for Joanna Ampil.

It was also big night for 'Siargao' as it scored seven awards, and for Derek Ramsay, who bagged the coveted 'Best Actor' award for his role in 'All Of You.'
