The second half of 2017 is poised to make actor-singer Khalil Ramos a more visible star, with two films he is both co-starring in set to be released and his venture to pop rock taking his singing career to a new level of excitement.

Yes, he already completed two movies, both thrillers presented in different moods - drama and action. The former, titled "Kasunduan" found him selling drama opposite Ejay Falcon and Joey Marquez. The latter, engagingly called "Riding in Tandem" pushed him in action alongside Jason Abalos. Both films are bet to showcase his versatility as actors which adds more weight to the fact that he is nominated in this year's Gawad Urian for his lead role in "2 cool tobe 4gotten." His work in this come of age drama had certainly hit a chord as the Cinema One Originals entry that premiered last November won accolades, including Best Picfure. In the movie he plays the memorable Felix Salonga who meets up a couple of Fil-Am brothers named Maxim and Magnum en route to an intriguing journey.

His newly finished films "Kasunduan", directed by lawrencevFajardo, also stars Joem Bascon while "Riding In Tandem" has veteran director Toto Natividad at the helm.

Speaking of noted directors, Erik Matti is a key figure in the signing of Khalil as the first ever contract artist of the steadily rising film outfit Realuty Entertainment. As now known in the local film community, Direk Erik is the brainchild of the studio that helped beef up his stellar filmography as director, including "On the Job," "Honor Thy Father," and "Seklusyon."

No Doubt, the matti magic is inspiring Khalil to take his acting chops deeper into the realm with his high interest in film directing. Thus, he is also dead set to studying  he craft and become a full pledge movie director himself.

A second placer at the 2011 Pilipinas Got Talent aired on ABS-CBN, Khalil proved himself to be an actor to watch right the following year when he shone brightly as part of the cast of the telserye "Princess and I" where he top billed along with Enrique Gil and the now household name duo dubbed Kathniel. He is currently playing to good reviews a character named Red Hernandez in the ongoing series "A Love To Last."

On the music front, This 21 year old hostspot whose father Lito (Ramos) began vocally training him at age 5, already released his eponymous album five years back. His voice is associated to ballad pop with tracks like "Kung Ako Ba Siya" and "Kung Ako Na Lang Sana." But his musical influences like the Beatles, Queen, and Aerosmith, coupled by his crucial training at the UP College of Music, meant that he is bound to go pop rock.

Recenly, Khalil gained extra popularity after doing covers that becam viral, including that of the Goo Goo Dolls signature piece "Iris." Thanks to his last year's ground breaking roving bus guesting at Wish Fm 107.5 where his take on the mainstream rock classic skyrocketed to more that a million views. Small wonder that early this year he was gain asked to appear on the said radio station.


Today is a big day for khalil as he officially signs with Reality Entertainment, headed by dondon Monteverde and Erik Matti. Reality Films is known for the films, The Aswang Chronicles, Seklusyon, honor Thy Father and On The Job. Certainly, the future's bright for Cornerstone Entertainment and Star Magic gem Khalil, as he is eyeing to keep both his acting and singing careers in high gear. He is a young man with so much plans, all of which he intends to fullfill for everyone to see and hear.
